I have received some invitations to join several groups which purpose is changing the world by changing education systems, workplaces, communities etc. Their goal is to make the world a better place for future generations to come. Even though this idea sounds good to me, I feel a little confused because these groups imply that the collective is more important than the individual.

What is your perspective from the non-physical? Is the community, country or even the planet more important than the individual? Should we prioritise the goals that benefit the whole world above our individual preferences?

Dear Rosa,

The great confusion is centered over the feeling of individuality in this reality. Individuality is one of the cornerstones of physical reality, yet it is an illusion. It’s a fun and entertaining illusion, but an illusion nonetheless. Time and space are also illusions. These aspects create to combine a unique environment for the purposes of experience and expansion. Physical reality is a realm of expansion and the aspects of time, space, and individuality make up the rich tapestry of what is possible. Above all, the most salient feature of physical reality is the ability to chose and pursue any desire as an individual.

If you choose to join a group, you do so as an individual, with a unique vibration and a completely individualized and unique point of view. You may feel like part of a group, but that group is really part of who you are being at the time. You join groups for many reasons and all reasons are based in either fear or love. So, if you want to express your love by joining a group that fulfills some purpose based in love, then that is a wonderful and powerful thing and the group might have a wonderful impact, but the only meaningful impact will be the impact it has on you, as an individual member of the group. It doesn’t matter what the group does for the world, it only matters how you feel personally within the group.

We like to explain that you are the center of your universe and the only thing that matters is your personal experience of life and your own expansion via those experiences. If you are having fun and feeling good and you are inspired to join a group, then the purpose behind that inspiration is to help you expand in ways that benefit you personally. If you are benefitted, then joining the group is a perfect idea, whether or not it is of benefit to anyone else. If you are not benefited by the group and your participation within it, then there is no reason to join or remain in the group.

There is no wrong anywhere in the universe, however desires do exist. Desires are either formed out of love or fear. If you perceive that something is wrong and you fight against it, by the Law of Attraction, you simply make it bigger. Your focus of attention on it as a bad thing causes it to enlarge and engulf your reality. However, if you join a group based in love and they have an idea to improve on something, then that is a beneficial approach and the Law of Attraction will make that bigger too.

If you have a war on drugs (or literally anything else), you make the perceived problem of drugs bigger. People get swept up in it in ways they would not prefer. They still benefit from the expansion that is created out of the chaos of the fight, but not in pleasurable ways. If you have a movement towards peace. for instance, you grow peace. If you have a movement towards equality, you build more equality, etc.

The group itself has no power. All of the power is in the collective consciousness of the group itself. That consciousness can be based in love or fear or both. However, the collective consciousness is created by individuals and each participating individual receives something from the group based on their unique perception of the group and from their unique perspective. It is always an individual experience and because all individuals are unique, it is a completely unique experience for each person. Nothing is more important than the individual and since you are the individual we are talking to and you are the center of your universe, then nothing is more important than you!
