Dear Joshua,

I’ve been meaning to write a question for a while, but for some reason I just haven’t found the right moment to do it. Now I just feel the need to write to you and still it is not the perfect moment to do so. I’ve been listening to the Teachings of Joshua round table since last year, and recently started Reading the first book. All the concepts just feel right and logical for me kind as if I’m Reading something I all ready know but I had forgotten.

This brings me to the question a want to ask you. I now realize that I have a strong limiting believe with money, because for the years that I have been working I’ve been doing it for the money, not for the love of what I’m doing. I’m a very determined person and have a lot of discipline so I’ve been very successful at every job I’ve had. But in reality I don’t enjoy them as much as I could enjoy doing other things.

I ask myself if money wasn’t an issue, would I do what I’m doing now for work? And the immediate answer is NO. I much rather be doing something related to my passion, motorcycles and outdoors, not being in a traffic jam visiting industrial clients to sell or lease a warehouse or lot for an industrial facility. The thing is I have the fear my sport is very small in my country so how can you make a living from this if you don’t have enough clients? It doesn’t matter the idea related to the sport. It could be something like having a training business, working in a motorcycle dealership, or even owning a motorcycle dealership, I always encounter the same limiting belief. This belief is backed by what I see of people attempting this lifestyle in Colombia. The numbers simply don’t add up. You cant make enough money from this kind of business. So my question is, how can I get to live a life where I’m fulfilling my purpose and growing myself if I find my passion to so unattainable? Or should I just leave behind my fears and be honest to myself and pursue my true passion? But how can I do this? Sorry if my question is hard to understand, English I not my first language, so I have to think in Spanish, and translate the question and this makes it a bit harder. Thank you in advance for your answer and your guidance.

Pablo

Dear Pablo,

Let’s start with the basic premise that this is your reality, you are the center of your universe, everything you want will come to you if you allow it, this is the basic design of physical reality, you are the creator of your reality, you are worthy of anything you desire, and you have the ability and right to be, do, and have anything you want. From this perspective, anything is possible.

You like motorcycles. Why do you think you like them? Why is this your passion out of all the possible interests and passions one could have? How were you led to this interest? In a country as big as Columbia, don’t you think there are others with your passion? In a world as big as this, don’t you think there are ways to fully explore your passion? You believe that you must have money first and follow your passion only when you have saved enough to support your new lifestyle. This is thinking the old way. Follow your passion and the money needed to support what you want to do will come.

Have faith that it will come and remove yourself from doubt and worry. It may not come in ways you can see or expect, but it will come in the amount needed when needed. All you have to do is take a giant leap of faith.

Now, this is our next point. If you cannot take that leap, because your beliefs are not aligned with what you want, then you must not take such a big leap. Instead, start small. What’s wrong with starting small? Why must you instantly get to where you want to go?

Isn’t the journey the fun part? Let’s think about this for a moment. You want to concentrate on your passion. You want to be consumed by your passion and earn money by doing what you love so that you don’t have to spend time away from what you love in order to make money. This seems logical and it’s certainly possible and attainable. The only problem is your set of limiting beliefs which cause doubt. All you have to do is overcome that doubt. All you have to do is adjust your limiting beliefs. There’s nothing really that you have to do to change your set of beliefs. Just move slowly in the area that interests you. Look at the example of Gary. He is pursuing his passion and money is coming, not only from his passion but from many various avenues. Had you told him five years ago that he would be channeling us and spending most of his time talking about universal laws and helping to improve the lives of many people, he would not have believed it. His beliefs were not aligned with this present reality. He moved into it slowly, enjoying every moment of it. He did not want to go from being who he was to being the channel for Joshua in one day. He needed to take a fiveyear journey.

It began with a friend lending him a CD, which led to Abraham-Hicks, which led to meditation, which led to the first communication with us, which led to five books, hundreds of questions and answers, articles, interviews, podcasts, workshops, etc. His beliefs were shaped every step of the way. He did nothing more than follow his interests which led to his passion. Now he lives a life of bliss (mostly). You do not have to quit your job or do anything so drastic. You do not have to figure it out. You can’t possible see what your life will look like five years from now. So then, there’s not point in worrying about it. Just follow your interests and see where it leads. You will be guided to the information you need when you need it. If it seems interesting, it’s information you need. If it’s fun, it’s something you need to do. If it’s exciting, you’re on the right track. You will be led step by step just as Gary was and just as everyone who finds their passion is led. Thinking about how it isn’t possible is like pressing the front and rear brakes at the same time. Release your brakes and just do what you want to do when you want to do it and believe that you are being guided to where you truly want to be.

You are loved more than you can imagine and supported by more than you could ever count.

We are Joshua
