Dear Joshua and Gary,
I just discovered your work a few weeks ago, and love all I have learned about Creating Reality since. I have read your book A Perception of Reality and are now reading A Radical Change. They are both amazing books!
My question to you is about work. I feel I should be able to figure it out myself, but I am a little stuck. I am currently unemployed and have been looking for a job for a while. I would love for my next job to be so fun that I could do it for free (but I do like to be very well paid). I have no idea what kind of job this is, but have tried to focus on what I would feel at my new amazing job. But there is some resistance there and I can’t figure out what it is. Can you please help me?
Reidun
Dear Reidun,
Certainly we can help you. That’s what we love to do. We see that there is nothing wrong with your wanting to find a job that you love and that is fun. The only limiting belief that you have is around money. You believe that a fun job that you love and a job that pays well are difficult to find. That is not true. You also believe that you need a lot of money to be happy. That is not true either. Everything you want is available to you as long as you can open up your beliefs. Release your limiting beliefs and have some fun.
The first thing we would do if we were living life in physical reality is to appreciate everything we have. The fact that we are alive and experiencing physical reality is such a wonderful thing. We would be grateful for every bit of it and we would not take it for granted. We would look at the people close to us and appreciate them. We would look at our environment and see its beauty. We would notice the freedom we have to be, do and have anything we want. We would be confident in our ability to create our reality as we prefer. We would realize that abundance is all around us and we would notice that we always receive everything we need when we need it. We would now look at the idea of work as a game.
You made some intentions prior to your birth into this reality. You chose your parents, your body, and the time and place of your birth because you knew it would set you on a trajectory toward that which you wanted to explore. If you want a clue as to what you’re interested in, look to some of the things you enjoyed as a child. When you were a child, you naturally gravitated to those things that interested you. From your perspective as an adult, you look back on those things and consider them childish. But those interests were valid and authentic. Your interests will lead you to your passions if you allow yourself to follow all interests.
We would suggest something to you to start with. We would suggest that you take any job and make it into a game. We want you to practice your powers of creation. We want you to take the first job that comes along. We want you to pay attention to your judgment of the job. Notice what’s wrong with it, notice that it doesn’t pay well, notice that it’s not fun, and then radically change your approach to it. Make it fun. Lean into it and do better at that job than anyone has ever done. Find the challenge in that and allow the challenge to be fun. Do not let it get boring, make it into something meaningful. Make it into something bigger than it is. Make it into a grand experiment.
You are not a vibrational match to the job you really want now because you have an old idea of work. Change your idea and change your approach. Put so much more into it that you are getting paid for. Do twice as much work as the employer deserves. Be great at it, even if you’re not paid for it. In fact, make it so much fun that you’d gladly do it for free. This is your opportunity to be great in this job. It doesn’t matter if no one notices it, it matters how you feel about it. If you can take this approach to a low-level job, you will catapult yourself very quickly to the job of your dreams.
It’s not that you can’t find a fun job that pays well. It’s that the fun job that pays well can’t find you. You are vibrating at a lower frequency. You must raise your frequency. The best way to do this is by becoming a master at something you think is beneath you. The best way to do this is by focusing on your greatness in something you consider unimportant. It is all vibrational. Nothing is inherently great or meek, it is all based on your judgment of it. Be great no matter what you’re doing, even if you think they don’t deserve your greatness.
You are loved more than you can imagine and you are more powerful that you can conceive.
Joshua
