Joshua,

You say we don’t manufacture thoughts. This is a yogic concept I’m familiar with, that we receive thoughts. In the yogic philosophy they say there is a “cosmic mind”. Can you explain where thoughts are manufactured and how they evolve?

Sirgun

Dear Sirgun,

Yes, your brain is not a thought factory churning out thought after thought. Like everything else in this reality, thoughts are attracted. The thought you attract is a match to the vibration you are emitting. If you are existing in a state of alignment (love), you will attract thoughts and ideas that resonate with love. You will be receptive to inspirational thoughts that will help you move forward in the discovery of who you really are.

If you are in a low emotional state (fear), you will attract thoughts that we call “urges” to change the conditions. In a fear-based state, it will be natural to attract thoughts of the very worst possible outcome. It is simply part of your survival instinct. If you are standing on the edge of a cliff and peer over, you will receive the thought of falling and dying. That is the worst possible outcome. You’ll receive the urge to cling to something or move away from the edge.

All thoughts that have ever been thought still exist and are available to you. All thoughts that will ever be thought exist in a realm of potentiality. When you become a match to a thought that has already been thought, you will receive that thought. When you become a vibrational match to a thought that has never been thought before (imagine a new song), then that thought will come to you. Somehow, you became a match to that thought for the first time ever and the new thought was released and received by you.

In order to become a vibrational match to a thought (or anything else), you must have a need for that thought (or thing, or experience, etc.). Without the need, you need not become a vibrational match. This speaks to the inherent abundance that exists around you. The abundance is the receiving of all that you need to do whatever you are doing when you need it. Think of air. When you need to breathe, you take a breath and the air is always there. If you needn’t breathe, you would be unaware of the air that surrounds you. If you do not need to express yourself, the words will not come, for there would be no need.

You become a vibrational match to that which you need when you need it. In order to become a vibrational match to more, become more. As you step into your role as spiritual leader and teacher, you will unlock access to more ideas, more forms of expression, and the infinite intelligence that always surrounds you. If you receive an inspired idea, realize that it came from the realm of the Divine just when you needed it. Therefore, inspiration, as a form of the Divine Spirit of Source, comes to you because you need it to do what you need to do. Never doubt your inspiration.

With our love,
We Are Joshua
