Wendy Question #63

Dear Joshua,

If I am supposed to do real estate, how am I supposed to find clients. Will they just come to me, or do I have to market for them? I do not enjoy making phone calls or door knocking or anything like that. I prefer relationship building, but I still need to find the people or they need to find me. I guess I have some fears about bugging people and them not wanting my services and me imposing them upon them. Also fears around them thinking I'm just pushing them to make a deal so I can make money.

Honestly, I don't know if I do like real estate. It seems like I just do it for the money. I enjoy some of my clients, but if I had the choice I wouldn't do it. So now what? What do I do? This issue seems like a clog in my vibration, a big wobble and I want to move past it. I want to understand it and push through any fears. I'd like to "sink my teeth" into something. Am I not ready for that yet? In the meantime, I feel torn. I feel distracted by kind of having one foot in and one foot out. You've said what if everything I am looking for can be found in real estate. I don't get that. Please explain/elaborate in detail for me step by step one more time!

I know this wobble is affecting me in MANY ways and with many aspects of my life. I get that I am to be easy and allow. I'm just not sure what that looks like. Please help me to understand it and move forward… one more time!

With Love and Gratitude,
~ Wendy

Dear Wendy,

You are not supposed to do real estate. You are not supposed to do anything in particular. You have free will and can do anything you like. You came here with the intention of exploring reality in a specific way. You wanted to learn more about a certain aspect of reality. Everything you wanted prior to being born into this reality can be found in the field of real estate. If you were interested in landscaping, it could be found in the pursuit of landscaping. But you are not interested in landscaping, you are interested in real estate. It is all waiting for you in the field of real estate. All you have to do is look at it from a new perspective so that you can push past your fears.

When you think about real estate, you are trying to imagine your path. You are thinking about it just as you did before you met us. You are applying the old approach to life when thinking about how you would behave in the real estate profession. You are remembering everything you were taught by those who are approaching life from the old way and you are forgetting everything we have taught you about the universe and the mechanism of physical reality.

Let's start at the beginning.

You do not need to do real estate. You could sit at home and play around on your computer surfing the net and staying safe in your home. You could go back to the old approach to life wishing that you were doing something but succumbing to your fears. That kind of inner conflict causes stress because you are resisting all that you want due to irrational fear. We have taught you that these fears are illusions and that you can move past them.

In the old approach to life you are meant to struggle your way to success and success means making money. In the new approach to life you are being asked to do only that which you enjoy and success means feeling good about whatever it is you are doing without anything being difficult. Of course this goes against everything that you have been taught. But if you look at the truly successful agents (the ones who enjoy the profession and are making money) they do not do anything they do not enjoy. They hire assistants to do everything they do not want to do. The money comes from the joy. They do not work for money, they work for joy.

We are not asking you to be a successful real estate agent. We are asking you to find the joy in the activities that are involved in this profession. We don't care if you ever make a sale or earn a dime in commissions. We want you to practice serving others with love. We want you to participate in this world by offering love as a service to others. We want you to figure out how to do only that which you enjoy, push past those limiting fears, and release your attachment to any outcome.

It is the conversation in the car on the way to showing a house that it important. It is the reassurance you can offer to buyers or sellers who are trying to push past their own fears. It is the higher perspective that you can share with everyone involved in the process. It is the joy that you will derive from being of service and expressing your love. Forget about cold calling, canvassing, or any other part of the job you do not enjoy. By being a being of love without an agenda or an attachment to any specific outcome, you will attract those who seek what you uniquely have to offer.

There's no better form of marketing than the Law of Attraction. Do whatever you are inspired to do and you will have a perfect stream of those who are a vibrational match to you. When you are a fearless being of love without an agenda, you will attract clients who are a match to that vibration.

Joshua
