Steve Question #83

Dear Joshua,

Here's a question that I have been wanting to ask for the last 2 weeks, but have not because I think it's a bit silly. But I've reached my limit, so here goes. I have been biting my lip daily for the last 2 weeks. Some days, multiple times. Prior to this, I had not bit my lip for years. I'm wondering if this is because of a vibration that I currently have that I should be addressing... This is quite painful. I'd love to stop doing it. I haven't been able to figure it out on my own. Any suggestions? And if this is a silly question, I apologize in advance :)

Thanks!
Steve

Dear Steve,

By now you should realize that all questions have significance. If you have attracted the question, then the answer will be revealing and insightful, not just to you, but to many, many others as well. So your questions and this dialogue carry profound importance, more than you will ever know. Your questions have not been asked before in such a manner and therefore they expand the universe. There is nothing more important than that.

You realize that there are two sides to your world. The outer world you have been interacting with vividly all your life, and the inner world that you are becoming more and more aware of. Right now, you are operating as if the outer world shapes your reality. This is the approach to life shared by the vast majority of humans living on your planet at this time. But that approach is shifting and humans are learning that their inner world of thoughts, beliefs, desires, dreams, hopes, attitudes, opinions, etc. actually and completely shape their outer world. You are beginning to live from the inside out as was intended.

So, as you make your shift from outer to inner, you are reducing the physicality of physical reality and embracing the nonphysical laws and mechanisms which, when used properly, provide great leverage. You have been here before. This is not new to you. You have been moving on a cycle from mostly physical to understanding the essence of nonphysical and back again. As you shift from your focus on the physical to your desire to learn more about the nonphysical, part of you wants to keep yourself grounded in reality. In this case, you are biting your lip to remind yourself that you exist in a physical reality.

The reason this is happening is that you are allowing your thoughts to roam from the future, to the past, and on to the nonphysical. What you are not doing is being present. If you were present, you would not bite your lip. So be more present, especially when contemplating your inner world, and you will stop biting your own lip.

The pain and annoyance of this brings you back into reality and back into the present moment. There is not much more to it than that. It's quite simple. Now you can start appreciating when you bite your lip and acknowledge it as a message from us - "be present."

Love,

Joshua
