Steve Question #39

Dear Joshua,

I'm getting this "now what" feeling. A feeling of "OK, I can be, do or have anything" what direction do I go? I feel I should be doing something different. I know I need to be patient, that I will be inspired to action, but then I see the new Porsche Cayman GT4 announced (which would be the perfect next car for me and allow me to give my current car to my son) and then I find myself needing to suppress my old familiar feeling of "why not yet?"

Taking this a step further, here's what I think should do. Give myself a break. Tell myself I'm not going to do anything for the next 3-6 months, so just relax. Organize my office. Organize my garage. Stay focused on the cool things I do have right now. Make some plans to do fun things involving the things I now have. Plan a road trip, take some time off work. Go to the beach, read a book. Be lazy! (that felt good) And maybe just fantasize a little about how sweet it will be to drive down the road in my new GT4 :)

Did I nail it? ( I do feel better )

Thanks!
Steve

Dear Steve,

You can have, do, and be anything you want in this physical existence on Earth. If there is something that you want and you don't already have it, it's simply because you are not a vibrational match to it. In order for you to receive that which you want, you will have to change into a version of you that is ready for the manifestation of your desire. You will have to undergo change. Mostly the change is to your current set of beliefs. You can have, be and do anything you want if you can become that which is a match to your desire.

So, how do you initiate the change that must come? This is the easy part. You initiate change through the birthing of your desire. As soon as you identify something wanted, you create the path to that thing. You are automatically started on a journey to having your desire. The journey can be very quick or it can take ages, it all depends on you. Are you able to maintain focus on what is wanted, are you able to allow the changes that must take place, or will you resist what must happen because you judge certain manifestation events as wrong?

Let's talk about your desire for the new car. You have birthed a desire so the car is coming. You can resist the car if you want and stall it from coming or you can go with the flow of life and allow it to come at the right time for you. You could also just go out and buy the car today. So you have three choices: 1) you can resist the manifestation events that will line up to alter your set of beliefs that would change you into the version of you that could receive the full and elegant manifestation of the car, 2) you could simply pay attention to what's happening and go with the flow allowing yourself to be changed, or 3) you could just go out and buy the car (filling in your own grid as Abraham would say).

In order to receive the fullest and most complete version of your desire, you must allow the universe to change you. You must recognize that manifestation events will occur that will alter your set of beliefs if you allow them to. You must see that whatever occurs is happening in order to bring you what you want in the most elegant way. In this manner, you can have, do and be anything you want.

Now, why not just go out and buy the car today? Because this would conflict with other desires you also consider important or even more important. You desire to give your son your car. You desire to be financially responsible. You desire to maintain your current standard of living. You desire your current amount of debt. And there are many other things that you currently believe will be altered if you were to go out and buy the car today.

It is good to realize that you cannot create the environment that will allow you to receive everything you want by action alone. This is a mental process. You know that you must utilize the leverage of universal forces. You must be willing to allow things to line up for you. You can't see how the path will unfold, so you know not to take action until you are inspired to do so. If it doesn't feel right, don't make yourself do it. Patience is a virtue when it comes to manifestation.

How quick the manifestation of the new car depends on how easily your beliefs can be modified. If you hold on firmly to your set of beliefs, you'll be resistant to the change that must be made to deliver you the car you're dreaming of. You must be completely open to new thoughts and ideas. You must allow magic to happen. You must believe in miracles, because most wonderful manifestations seem like miracles. But they are not miracles, they are simply the alignment of universal forces with your desire. It only seems magical from your limited perspective.

So what do you do now? How do you start? What do you think about? You hit the nail on the head when you said you thought you should just relax, take it easy and focus on the joys of what you have now. This is the state of allowing. Enjoy your current situation because it will be different in the future. You will never have this version of you because you are in a constant state of change. Think about how fun it will be to drive the new car by having fun driving your current car. Think about how fun it will be to give your son your car. Prepare him to receive your car. Do the things that make you feel good now. Listen to your inner self as you constantly ask questions and follow all the little impulses you receive.

But most importantly, pay attention to the manifestation events and choose your reactions consciously. When you feel negative emotion about anything, realize that this is the resistance we are talking about and that you are not allowing your desires to come. Choose your actions based on love and faith that all of your desires may coexist even if you can't imagine how that's possible.

Love,
Joshua
