Steve Question #15

Dear Joshua,

I had a very unique glimpse/feeling today and I think it was a direct result of your last answer... You spoke about being happy with your life and being patient:

Now, the sticking point will be your patience or lack thereof. How patient can you be? This is your resistance. Can you be happy with your life as it is and be patient or will you focus on the things you cannot do or have until the money comes? This part is up to you.

This afternoon, for just a moment, I glimpsed my entire current life situation as perfect. Along with that, I had this very foreign feeling that I didn't have to change anything in my life, which i have not felt EVER before... This made me feel like I lost a big part of who I define myself to be - someone who needs change to be "better" continually and I've always liked this trait in me. But maybe it doesn't serve me as well as I think it does. So, is it good to drop the "need" to evolve? Will it happen on it's own without me actively having to think about it?

Thanks!
Steve

Dear Steve,

Everything in your life is perfect in the moment. Right now, everything is the way it is and cannot be changed in the moment. If it cannot change, then it is perfect. If you would not change a thing, then that could be called perfect. However, you are always changing and evolving. This is a fact you cannot escape.

You must understand that you are eternally evolving and that this process is a natural aspect of the vibration you are emitting and Law of Attraction's response to that vibration. It is a force, in motion, with momentum that has a purpose and a certain destiny. It is all based on your specific vibration. Thinking about how you should evolve, how you should grow, what steps you must take in order to change, falls outside the boundaries of this natural process. In other words, your intention to grow is not necessary to spur the growth. You do not need to do anything but be patient and happy with your conditions. From this stance you allow growth.

If you can accept that growth and expansion and all that you want is allowed rather than achieved, you can move forward very efficiently. It is the being happy with where you are that creates an environment of allowing. This is what we mean by unconditional love. You love the conditions unconditionally because the conditions are always perfect.

Does this make sense? You created the conditions as your vibration interacts with the Law of Attraction to create circumstances and events designed to bring you to where you want to go. When you see any condition as wrong, or off, or annoying, or lacking, or unnecessary, or painful, or less than perfect, you are not living in a state of allowing. Your judgment of right or wrong, good or bad, causes you to prefer that the conditions be different in the moment. But in the moment they are fixed in time and space and cannot be changed.

The conditions in the next moment and future moments will certainly be different and these conditions allow for more control and deliberate creation. But the moment that exists now cannot be changed for it is perfect. When you see it as anything less, you are resisting your own growth and expansion and this does not serve you in any way. What it does create, however, is preference and that is helpful.

You may prefer that things be better in future moments, but it does not serve you to ask for things to be different in the present moment for it cannot be altered. The present moment is like a great painting that you consider to be a classic work of art which you would never alter. To do so would be disrespectful to the artist. So you appreciate it for what it is and you cherish it. As your tastes evolve you may find joy and satisfaction in new art, but you always appreciate the first painting.

Your feeling that everything is right the way it is and that there is nothing you need to do to become better or more evolved is the perfect stance for becoming more evolved. Ironically, in the case of expansion, there is nothing for you to do. You will be guided by inspiration. When it hits, you will be unable to control yourself. You'll have to go in that direction. It's when there is no inspiration to act that you feel unease. You think you must be constantly doing something, reading something, watching something, or talking to someone. What if you could just be who you are now and appreciate that?

What's the sense in eternally evolving if you never stop to appreciate who you are now? After all, who you are now is the most evolved version of you that has ever existed. Shouldn't you just be with that for a while? You are never going to finish this journey. The fact that you're evolving doesn't negate the fact that you're the best version of you that's ever existed. So have fun with that and enjoy being who you are now.

Love,
Joshua
