Kate Question #53

Dear Joshua,

I have 10 books on Finance, theory, etc. Of course I studied it all years ago, but some concepts I have forgotten, some I don't master, and part of me feels I should set myself the goal of 30 minutes a day (believe me, I've tried this one in the past, a bit like my 30 squats challenge), only to stop because I'm not inspired. Surely there must be times when we need to push through to get better at something and therefore get more confidence and pleasure in it?

With love and appreciation
Kate

Dear Kate,

In our last answer we talked about inspired action. It always has some positive component to it such as joy, interest, fun, excitement, etc. Often there is fear and that is just part of it. You can push through the fear and take the action anyway. The result is positive emotion such as exhilaration. Think of a roller coaster. You're inspired to ride it because you want fun, here is this big roller coaster, and the universe gives you the feeling of inspiration to ride it. Of couse, you also feel fear. It's a roller coaster. It's supposed to be scary. But once you've pushed through the fear and survived the ride, you feel exhilarated.

When fear is not holding you apart from some action, and you just don't want to do it, you can be assured it is not inspired action. When you think you should do something and you do it and it is rewarding, then you've overcome some fear, you've pushed through it and you look forward to taking that action again. When you don't feel these things, you know that you are not inspired. If you are not inspired, then you need not take the action. Without the leverage of the universe, the action will be ineffective at best and unpleasant or even painful at worst.

When you think you should study more, you do not feel inspired. In fact, it feels unpleasant. Even if you were to study this material, you are not vibrationally aligned with it because you're not interested in this aspect of your work. Therefore, you would either not comprehend the information or you would not retain it. In effect, the information is useless to you.

You are a vibrational match to that which holds interest. If you find yourself reading about something, you're interested in it. If you get a thought or an idea, you've reached vibrational resonance with it and it is good. If you are not interested, no amount of study or perseverance will do any good. You either won't get it or won't retain it.

'

So then, what are you to do with regard to work? You are to follow whatever piques your interest. What is interesting? What part of the job do you enjoy? Is there any fun at all? What is it that's fun? That's where you must spend 100% of your time. Focus only on the positive aspects of your work without fighting against anything you may not like and you'll move to a whole new level.

Joshua
