LOA coaches say that it is all about repetition of words (affirmations) which work on the subconscious, and therefore changes beliefs. But is it that simple? Does the subconscious even exist? Is it that powerful? Can repetition of words change beliefs?

Certainly we would say that a repetition of words will create conscious awareness of the desire at the root of those words and this is a good thing. However, there are two ends of this stick. As you consciously speak a word, you also consciously notice that there is lack around that word. Otherwise you would not be saying the word. This creates a tug of war and the stick is being pulled at both ends.
To alter a limiting belief, you must first become aware of the limiting belief. This is done through the analyzation of manifestation events. Whenever you feel emotion, you have found yourself in a manifestation event. If you feel positive emotion, this is a sign that you are have beneficial belief and you are aligned with what you want. If you feel negative emotion, this is an indication that a limiting belief exists. If you can become aware of this and identify the limiting belief, you can use evidence top prove to yourself that the belief is false. By doing this you reduce the intensity of the limiting belief, your vibration is altered, and the effect is a change in your point of attraction.
You birth a desire and the universe responds to bring you your desire as a physical manifestation in your reality. You are not a vibrational match to your desire so you must be changed into a version of you that matches your desire. The change occurs by changing your beliefs You must adopt certain beneficial beliefs (confidence) and reduce the intensity of limiting beliefs (doubt). All limiting beliefs are based in fear and are therefore false. To reduce their effects on you, you must prove them false to yourself. This is done by providing yourself with evidence that they are false.
You have adopted a set of limiting beliefs throughout your life as has everyone you know. It is a function of life in your society. You are prone to receive guidance from those around you rather than the guidance that is being offered by your inner self. You don't trust yourself to know what's right for you, so you adopt the limiting beliefs of others. Sometimes you call these limiting beliefs "facts" however, they are simply beliefs you carry around with you without any real evidence to support their validity. They are subconsciously accepted. Once you bring these beliefs to the surface and analyze them, you can find evidence that will cause them to be seen by you as false. As soon as this happens, you have reduced their hold on you and your vibration will be raised.
So instead of repeating words, simply regain trust in your own inner guidance system. When you feel positive emotion, you're on the right track. When you feel negative emotion, you've uncovered a limiting belief. Go and analyze the event that caused the negative emotion. The event is neutral. It is neither good or bad. If you felt negative emotion, you judged it as bad or wrong. Why? What is it about the event that makes you think it is wrong? If you can answer this question, you can find a way to prove that the event is actually right.
The key to feeling good is to see the right in everything. The first words we ever wrote was that there is no wrong anywhere in the universe. The only reason you might judge something as wrong is due to your limited perspective. Look at it from a higher perspective and see it as right. This is the way to maintaining your vibration at a high level.
