Kate Question #105

Dear Joshua,

Thank you for your answer to my last report where you followed up on asking to see the gratitude list. I would really appreciate your insight and guidance on the pockets of resistance I can have... I am attaching it here.

I am in Vancouver now (and moving around a bit for vacation with my mum, and my sister is coming out to join us). I spent a crazy week coming up to the vacation with more things to get sorted before leaving than I ever have, and I'm wondering why life seems to get busier as we get older (more things to take care of, like administrative stuff)?

At the same time, I was thinking as I left on vacation, "I have all this overwhelming momentum going on, how is the momentum going to just stop the first day of vacation, since it is my thinking and energy. It turns out, it hasn't just stopped (but has reduced significantly). The people we are staying with, who are super generous, interesting and fun, are also very active and talkative and so it's been pretty full on (but interesting). It will slow down when we get to the country, but it was a good example to me that momentum can keep going - even if the situations change.

Kate

Dear Kate,

Momentum is created by your vibration. If you think the same thoughts, hold the same set of beliefs, and feel the same way over time, you create a reality that reflects this momentum. For some people, the momentum slows when they remove themselves from their conditions. It seems different and so they respond to the new conditions in a different way. Their beliefs about the new places and people change and so what they get is a different reality because they are approaching the environment from a lighter and more energetic stance. However, once the conditions become familiar, they often lapse back into their old approach and soon the new conditions feel like the old ones. The conditions do not change unless the person changes first.

If your momentum is one of being overwhelmed, then you might feel relief as you move out from the conditions. But always remember, it is you that creates every single bit of your own stress. It's your perception of your life that causes stress. There is no stress inherent in anything you do. Your job does not need to be stressful, your relationships do not need to be stressful, nor does anything. It's simply your perception of it. It's your perspective that causes you to feel overwhelmed.

In reality, there is nothing you have to do. You just think there is. In reality, you're not really doing anything, the universe is responding to your vibration. If you stopped doing and started being, you would not feel overwhelmed. It's not that the others around you are energetic, it's that they are responding to your vibration.

You create all of it. You create the conditions and you create your perception of the conditions. You also create your reaction to the conditions. You can think any thought and you can hold any belief. You can keep the momentum going by approaching life in the same manner as always, or you can move the momentum in a direction that you prefer. It is all up to you. Think about how you are perceiving the world around you and then alter that perception.

Imagine that everything in your reality was responding to you. How you perceived anything is the only thing that's real. Look at the unattractive woman and now perceive her as attractive. Look at the old man and perceive him as eternal. Look at the homeless man and perceive him as an adventurer bold going places and doing things you could never do yourself.

Perceive that the universe is doing everything and that there is nothing you need to do. When you do something, you are being guided by some inspiration. If you are feeling good when the inspiration strikes, then you are doing something that is for your highest good and your best interests. When you are inspired to act from a low-emotional state of being, know that whatever you do is simply an attempt to make yourself feel better and may not be for your true benefit. Otherwise, the universe is doing everything else.

There is no need to be overwhelmed. It's simply a choice you make. While away on vacation, choose to feel ease in every moment and see what that's like.

Joshua
