Isabelle Question #70

Hi Joshua,

This is the fourth of Deepak Chopra's Seven Laws to Success.

4. The Law of Least Effort - Allowing, responsibility (not blaming anyone or anything for your situation, including yourself), defenselessness, meaning that you have relinquished the need to convince or persuade other of your point of view.

With love your student,
Isabelle

Dear Isabelle,

There are two approaches to life. In the old approach, you believe that things are either good or bad and you attempt to control the conditions so that there are only good things and no bad things. If something good happens, you've been taught to respond with happiness. If something bad happens, you've been taught to react with sadness, anger, disappointment, etc. In this approach to life, you become a victim of the conditions because you leave how you feel up to the conditions themselves. You are a victim of the folly of the people and the conditions that exist in your life. Therefore, you try to control everything and, as you know, control is a fear-based mechanism that cannot work in a universe built on a foundation of love.

In the new approach to life you choose how you feel and you allow the conditions to be as they are because all they can ever be is a reflection of the vibration you are offering. You accept the conditions. You allow them and the people in your life to be as they are being. You find a way to feel better, to choose a higher perspective, and to create a vibration that will reflect something else that you prefer. This is the approach of allowing.

In the allowing approach to life, you understand that what comes to you is for you. There is no wrong, there are simply conditions that contain messages. The message is that you either have a beneficial belief regarding the subject or a limiting belief. Your job is not to try to change the conditions, but to change your opinion of the conditions. You believe that if you experience something unwanted, the unwanted aspect of it has been manifested because you have an interior issue to deal with. You have a limiting belief that is keeping you from evolving into the version of you who is ready for all that you have asked for. You understand that the universe only wants to bring you whatever it is that you want, yet it cannot do that until you are ready. In order to be ready, you must change how you are perceiving your reality. You must address your self-imposed limitations. You must allow the change to occur by acknowledging first that you are not a vibrational match to your desire. If you were, it would exist.

The ability to understand that you are not ready for what does not exist, is the new approach to life. Instead of efforting and demanding that you get what you want and trying to make it happen, you work on the inside aspects of yourself. You define yourself in a less limited way, while understanding that you must expand through experience to become the version of you that is ready for your desire to manifest. You realize that your perspective is limited and that the path of least resistance is the path of allowing whatever is to be as it is. Loving what is, while acknowledging that in your ability to change you demonstrate true power, is what allowing is all about. That is the key to creating the amazing life you prefer to live. The approach of allowing perfectly aligns with the laws of the universe and your authentic and true self.

With our love,
We are Joshua
