Emma Question #47

Hi Joshua,

I want to ask you about the emotion of embarrassment. Yesterday I had a random embarrassing moment happen at work. A plumber barged into my ensuite while I was sitting on the toilet. The door had somehow not locked properly. I felt intense embarrassment after this, which is a negative emotion so therefore there is a fear here for me to uncover. I'm not really sure what it is though? I think it's pretty normal to feel embarrassed after that! What is the message for me behind this manifestation event?

Thanks,
Emma

Dear Emma,

Certainly, it is normal to feel embarrassment in situations such as these. But do you want to be normal, or would you like to rise a bit above this and be who you really are? Embarrassment is a highly limiting belief and it limits you from experiencing the life you desire. Not so much in this case, but think of all the other situations you avoid and the things you will not try for fear of embarrassment. The list is quite long. Why would you feel embarrassed in this or any other situation? You fear what other people might think. You do not know what they think. You can't imagine what they really think. All you are ever doing is making up what they think. What do you think the plumber thought? He was probably embarrassed as well. How funny. He was worried about what you thought of him.

In the nonphysical, you are who you really are and you do not get embarrassed. Embarrassment is a human concept. Animals cannot get embarrassed. They do not feel shame. Why do you feel shame or embarrassment doing something that everyone does every day? It is irrational and it is limiting.

The fear of what others might think is an irrational fear because it never, ever matters what they think. Their thoughts have absolutely no affect on you. You cannot behave in a way that will ensure that they all think lovely thoughts about you. Even if they did, it wouldn't mean anything. You are not defined or validated by what other people think. The only thing that matters is what you think about yourself. You are the most wonderful person in the world. We see that. It is so obvious.

If you were walking around without clothes, you might feel uncomfortable around clothed people. If you were walking around with clothes you might feel uncomfortable around those without clothes. But if you were without clothes and they were without clothes, you would soon feel completely comfortable. Therefore, you only feel uncomfortable when you feel as if something about you is different. That's why you want to conform. However, you are not normal. No one is. There is no normal. Everyone is unique and everyone came here to explore life differently. Do not strive to fit in or be normal, because that is never possible and it is not why you came here. You do not want to have the experience that other people have already had. You want to experience something new. You have higher vibrational thoughts, awareness, and ideas, and in exploring these higher ideas, you cannot be considered normal. You are on the leading edge of thought. You are different and that is a very, very good thing. Never be embarrassed about anything. That is simply the ego trying to protect your persona. Your persona is the fabricated image of yourself and it is not true. It is a limited and false representation of who you really are. You are much more than who you perceive yourself to be. You are a limitless being of pure positive love and acceptance.

Remove your limitations and do not worry about your persona. You will quickly evolve out of that limited idea of yourself and into your true power.

With our love,
We are Joshua
