Arnaud Question #8

Dear Joshua,

Thank you for your last answer. Beside the overall message, every answer seems to have at least one nugget in it, usually a phrase or two, that plays on my mind for hours, if not days. It is thrilling...

This time, I have a question about identity and personality. I am a limitless being of pure positive love and acceptance. I look forward to knowing more what this means for me, and seeing this reflecting into my life as I increase my beliefs about this statement.

For now, I understand that being limitless means that I escape definitions. And that my persona is merely the construct of the conditions that I have chosen for this specific lifetime, which means that I have had many persona through all the lifetimes I have lived.

What I am wondering about is whether my higher self has a specific personality that expresses itself through every incarnation. Does it relate to the specific intentions that I made before entering this reality? And does finding "who I really am" consist in uncovering this personality?

I am sure you will have plenty of fascinating things to say about this. As always, I look forward to your enlightening answer.

With love,
Arnaud

Dear Arnaud,

Yes, your true self, your inner self, you, have a personality. Who you really are as a limitless being is who you are now, but without the influence of fear. If you were to be your authentic self in this reality, your personality would be very close to the personality of you as a nonphysical being. Let's imagine what that would look like.

As your authentic self, you would not alter the way you approached life as a result of succumbing to fear. You would not let fear interrupt your exploration of reality. Without the heavy burden that accompanies a fearful life, you would be light, joyful, easy-going, silly, playful, funny, fun, interested, interesting, peaceful, compassionate, caring, loving and accepting. You would not be defined by roles you are playing, jobs you are working, interests you are pursuing, or anything outside of you. You would never care what people think about you. You would not conform to their wishes for you to be different. You would simply focus on being who you really are, feeling good, doing what you want to do, and expressing yourself as a being of love by exploring and diving into that which you intended to explore prior to your birth into this reality.

Now, you came here to explore reality in a new and unique way and so you choose a lot of aspects that encompass who you are in this life. You are European (as compared to North American, Asian, African, etc.) and this is part of your personality. You were born into a society and adopted a culture. You went to school. You speak certain languages and you have specific interests. These all inform your personality and together with how you view yourself, you develop a persona. Your persona is your idea of who you are now. It is the culmination of all of your beliefs, fears, desires, interests, attributes and stories you've told yourself over the years. Your persona includes your true personality along with all of your fear-based beliefs.

Your true personality is the highest version of you. When you transition to the nonphysical and rejoin your inner self, you will be the most expanded version of you that has ever existed. This experience of life is expansive and you expand yourself, your inner self, and All That Is through the exploration of this highest vibrational experience of life. Your true personality gains from this exploration and you become more than you were, as does All That Is. The difference between this nonphysical personality and your physical personality is fear. You carry lots of fear around with you on Earth, but you shed it all when you return to your nonphysical home. You could shed the fear now and as a result, you would discover your authentic self.

Why are you not doing what you want to do right now? Fear. Why are you not the authentic version of yourself in this very moment? Because you are attached to certain constructs of your life and your current persona and you fear losing them. However, if your authentic self is one who is able to process and move through fear, then your primary work in this life is to become proficient at processing and moving through fear. By acknowledging that your current persona is based primarily in fear, you can reduce your attachment to who you think you are. You can release fear and create a more pliable persona. The more malleable your person, the less your ego will need to defend it. That's what you really want. You truly want to shed your persona and become the authentic version of you. You do that through feeling good, receiving inspiration, noticing the fear, analyzing the fear and processing it so that you can push through it to do what you need to do.

If you can do that, you will find out who you really are, your talents and abilities will emerge, and you'll discover your purpose. That is the life you intended prior to your birth. If you choose to continue succumbing to fear, you will simply live a more limited experience of life and there's nothing wrong with that. It's just not what you intended this time around.

With our love,
We are Joshua
