Arnaud Question #6

Dear Joshua,

I had a big a-ha moment reading your last answer and being confronted with the fact that I live a resistant life for feeling that I have strong desires that are not manifested. I know I can savour and milk those moments when I am in bliss sipping wine in my garden, or feeling freedom when I am roaming the streets of Rome by myself on holiday. But I also do feel like I have unfulfilled desires on a lot of subjects (money, job, relationships, everything really, haha!).

To take a concrete example, I think that I want to own a beautiful house, that is a stunning example of architecture with a beautiful view, etc., and that I am far from achieving this. I always thought that imagining how this house would look, and how living in this house would feel like, would help me become a match to it. But by doing this, what I seem to be doing instead is focusing on the fact that I don't have it and keep it out of reach. So, the answer to that is that I should love the heck out of where I live right now and trust the universe will bring me exactly what I want, right?

What I would really like you to bring me clarity on is the role of imagination. I thought imagination would be used to imagine my desires, to flesh them out and bring out the feelings I am looking for, but what I am beginning to understand is that imagination should be used more to see the now differently? I would very much like your insight into this.

With love,
Arnaud

Dear Arnaud,

It may seem counter-intuitive to love what exists in your life now when you really want something different, but that is simply the design of the universe. By appreciating what is, you enter a vibrational state of allowing. You appreciate the fact that you have allowed everything good to come to you and you demonstrate your compliance in allowing the universe to bring you what you need, when you need it. You don't want the lovely house because it would be nice to live there. You want the feeling it would bring you. Now, what is that feeling really? It is the feeling of worthiness. You don't want the house because it is a nice house, you want it because you believe it would prove that you are worthy of a house like this. Unfortunately, you must display your own confident sense of worthiness before the house will ever come. Remember, physical reality can never make you feel anything that you do not already feel. It's just a mirror to how you feel about yourself.

If you felt as worthy as you really are, as you were born, as the authentic version of you, you would live in a home that accurately reflects that. The fact that you feel as worthy as you do means that you could never be homeless. You could never live an a ghetto. You could never live in anything less than the home you live in now. Your home accurately reflects how you feel about yourself right now. Don't change your living quarters to reflect some new idea of yourself. Change your opinion of yourself and your living arrangements will reflect that. That's just how reality really works.

Bill Gates could not live in your home, nor could you live in his. You would both feel too uncomfortable. You would feel uncomfortable paying for the lawn maintenance and other bills. He would feel just as out of place in your home. It would not make vibrational sense. When you feel more like the authentic version of you, it will feel uncomfortable to live where you live now and you will be led to something that is a vibrational match to the new version of you. It's as simple as that.

When you imagine living in this wonderful new home, you are really imagining how it would feel to feel worthy of a home like that. In that imaginary scene, you notice the difference in how you feel now and how you feel in your dream. You imagine the house is the way to feel worthy. It is not. You must come to see yourself from a higher perspective and everything will change. You will feel more worthy and your reality must reflect this new idea of self. It is law. So then, what is the reason you do not feel worthy of that house right now? It's because you see yourself from a limited perspective. Let's see if we can change that perspective just a bit.

Who you really are is different from who you think you are. Who you really are is a limitless being of pure positive love and acceptance. You do not believe this now. You do not live like this now. You live in a limited way. Why? Fear. Fear limits you from living a larger life. What do you fear? That is for you to discover. The problem is that you do not analyze your fears properly. You do not take the time to understand what you are afraid of. Most of your fears are irrational and are based on limiting beliefs about yourself. That's okay. You set up your life so that you would likely adopt a lot of limiting beliefs. You did this so that you could travel along a path of self-discovery in order to realize who you really are. You are on that journey now and when you realize who you really are, you will create the reality you truly desire. But that reality is different than you think its is because it will be based on the authentic version of you, not the limited version you are being now.

If we could strip away your persona (your idea of who you are) and start fresh, you would begin to focus on only that which allowed you to feel good. So let's play a game of imagination. Imagine that all the things you think you want now are ridiculous. They are all based on your limited idea of self and when you become your authentic self, you will laugh at all these things. Everything you think you want is only wanted because you think it fills a void. There are no voids. You are complete and self-contained. You lack nothing. You just imagine that you do. So, let's erase everything you think you want because it is based on a very limited version of who you are. Let's start fresh.

You came to physical reality with certain intentions. You intended to feel joy, to love, to experience abundance and freedom, and to explore reality in a new way. You intended to expand through the experience of life. These are your true desires. These are all that matters to you. You want nothing else, really. You want to love, that's it. You want to feel good and be happy, that's it. You don't need security because you are already taken care of. There's nothing you need that you do not possess right now. You are completely and absolutely abundant as you are right now. You have everything you need to explore reality as you intended. You have it all right now. It's just that you have come up with a set of desires which are all based on a limited idea of self. Once you raise your idea of self, those desires will seem trivial to you. Therefore, if you were to manifest those desires now, in this limited form of yourself, they would not give you the feelings you think they would. If that is the case (and it certainly is), you can stop wanting everything you think you want and you can start allowing your true desires to manifest.

Would you rather feel bliss or have a million pounds in the bank? You would rather feel bliss. If you had a million pounds, you would not feel bliss. Since this is a feeling reality, the only thing that really matters is how you feel. The money won't make you feel anything. Feel secure in who you are as a creator of your own reality and the money will come to prove you are secure. Feel confident as the magnificent and unique creator you are, and the house will come that reflects this. But if you think of yourself as magnificent only to get the house and the money, then you are just trying to fool the universe. You must really know your worth and then you'll be inspired to behave as the magnificent person you believe yourself to be.

Here's where it gets a little tricky. If you decide to be more magnificent and authentic, then you are going to have to face your fears. Your persona will have to be obliterated. You will have to prove that you are magnificent by laughing at your darkest fears and moving through them. If you want security, you'll have to risk it all and prove to yourself that security is not controlled by outside conditions, it's completely dependent on the vibration you are offering. You must learn to focus and manage your own vibration. Can you do that? Yes you can. Will you do it? We will see.

With our love,
We are Joshua
