Allyson Question #96

Dear Joshua,

I'm always in a hurry. I rush. I need to tackle the thing I am working on and get it done quickly, smoothly, efficiently. I'm very aware of it and I have seen evidence of the Universe telling me or reminding me that it's ok to move a bit slower; stop and smell the roses, so to speak.

Why am I not getting it? How can I find ways to really slow down! I want to take a step, not a leap. I want to enjoy the ride, not just the destination.

Please share your thoughts around this ... would it be fear? Fear of not doing it fast enough? Right enough as in quickly? I have to admit that I pride myself on getting a lot done, etc. Oh that darn ego again!

Thank you,
Allyson

Dear Allyson,

You are what you are. You have certain talents and attributes. These are the abilities you intended to have prior to your birth. They are your superpowers. Why do you look at them from a limited perspective? Would Superman look at his ability to fly or his x-ray vision as bad things? Would he complain that he's always leaping tall buildings and seeing though walls? No. He appreciates that which makes him unique. He uses those powers to explore his reality in a new way. You can do the same.

Would you really like being slow and taking everything slowly? No. It would drive you crazy. You like being quick and nimble. You like being productive and getting things done. Occasionally, this ability presents a problem as you compare yourself momentarily to those who appear to be going slowly. It's just a comparison. Do not compare yourself others, compare yourself to past versions of you. If you compare yourself to you, you will always feel better. You are the most expanded and aware version of you that has ever existed. You have never been closer to the authentic version of yourself and that is a wonderful thing to appreciate.

The things that make you unique are by design so that you can live the exploration of reality that you intended to live. Without your exact attributes, talents, and abilities, you would not be living this life. You would be living another life. Since this is the life you intended to live, everything about you is perfect for this unique exploration of selfdiscovery that you are experiencing right now.

There is no point in ever doubting your abilities. That is just judgment based in fear, just like all judgment. You can judge your personality traits as bad or you can appreciate them as good. It's your choice. Judgment can only come from taking a limited perspective. You choose your perspective. Some limiting belief about yourself has been triggered and as a result, you chose the limited perspective. Now, take another look. What is the limiting belief? It's the belief that you are broken, imperfect, and wrong. That's an oldie, but a goodie. It's one that you and most people have carried around with yourself for a very long time. By the way; it's false. It's not true. It's a belief that you adopted only because those around you wanted you to be different than you were so they would not have to face their own fears. They wanted to control the conditions and you were one of those conditions that existed in their reality.

You happen to be perfect as you are. You cannot get any better. If you got slower, that would not be better, especially for you. You cannot improve. You can expand through experience and raise your vibration, but that is not improvement, it's simply a different experience. You can feel better, but that's not improvement, it's just a preferred experience of life.

Love what is unique about yourself. Know that every aspect of you was chosen by you. Know that you are perfect as you exist in the nonphysical and also perfect as you exist in the physical. Every aspect of you was purposefully chosen so that you could explore reality in the way you intended. Never doubt your superpowers. They are a marvel to behold and from the higher perspective, you can see that too.

With our love,
We are Joshua
