Allyson Question #25

Dear Joshua,

I'm sitting at my kitchen table and I'm steaming with frustration. I'm pissy, as I like to say. My daughter is home visiting and she's sitting in her bed, texting me and asking for stuff, like new tires for her car...

I was going to ask how to deal -or- what to do -or- how to change my mood when stress comes at me. And then I hear you ... Nothing is TO me - it's FOR me? Really? How is that? (See, I'm not in a good mood! I'm sure you can feel my frustrated vibration.) I had a quiet morning. I had a pretty nice meditation, although I could feel I was distracted but that was OK because it was a feeling of inspiration to do something creative and I was good with that.

But now, I have been interrupted, everybody wants to discuss their issues, their problems, their decisions and all I want to do is do my work, move along with my decisions and things I need to do.

Send calming energy my way, please!

Thank you,
Allyson

Dear Allyson,

Calming energy is available to you. It will not come from outside of you. We cannot send it to you. It is to be found within. Everything you need is to be found within. You have vast inner resources available to you. All you have to do to access them is take a step back and look at the situation from another perspective.

It is all about perspective. When you are close to the subject, you feel fear. This is all based on fear. You could not experience negative emotion without fear. Fear causes you to choose the limited perspective. Fear creates the illusion of wrong. Fear clouds your reality. From the limited perspective, it seems as if things are going wrong, as if people are behaving badly, and as if nothing is going right in the moment. Do you know why your inner self is sending you the message that you're experiencing a limited perspective? Do you know why you feel the negative emotion called frustration? Because your inner self sees the true reality of the situation and wants you to know that you are looking at an illusion.

Have you ever looked up at a tall building. It's not scary at all. When you get to the top of the building and look down, you might feel a little fear. The fear will make it seem like you are higher than you really are. The fear of height creates the illusion that you are quite a bit higher than the reality of the situation. Fear creates the illusion of danger. There is no danger if the fear is irrational. Therefore, you must look through the illusion to see the true reality of the matter. We are not saying this is easy, especially in the moment you are consumed by momentum. However, the next day you will see things clearer and get back into alignment with your inner self.

You have the power to look through the illusion of fear and see everything from a higher perspective. You can look at the situation as temporary. You feel fear because you want to help your daughter, but you know that she must go through her own manifestation events in order to create desires that will serve her. She is feeling fear to and she looks to you to solve her fears just as she always has. But now it is time for her to learn how to move through manifestation events. She can do so by seeing everything (including you) as wrong, or by realizing that this contrast will create great desires that will move her towards a life she prefers.

Go inward and see what's really happening. Don't let the fear get the best of you. Talk your way through it. You will do that tomorrow or the next day when the momentum subsides, but you could do it now if you focused inward and pulled out your inner resources. If you would take the time to talk to yourself in situations like these, you would find a very comforting and soothing voice assisting you to see things from the higher perspective. That voice is your inner self. You can rely on that voice to be there in times like this.

With our love,
We are Joshua
