Wendy Question #22

Dear Joshua,

Last night I had a migraine. I haven't had one that bad in a long time. Today, I feel like I've been hit by a truck!

I thought I was really moving forward with my release of resistance, but obviously my body thinks differently. This feels like I have taken 10 steps backwards. I'm doing my best to stay focused on the good ~ I am understanding the migraine to be a gift ~ my body letting me know I have a lot more work to do. It is discouraging. Am I going about this in a way that is causing me to still have such intense resistance?

With Love and Gratitude
~ Wendy

Dear Wendy,

You don't have such intense resistance, you just have resistance with a lot of momentum behind it. You are now starting to turn the ship in a new direction. But the ship is quite large and requires a little time and distance to change its course. There's nothing you are doing that is wrong. Everything is unfolding perfectly.

Because you have an expectation that this One on One program will fix your problem, you are fully committed to playing along with what we have to say. However, you have a motive in mind. You want to be healed. You want to feel good. You are doing this in the hopes that you will be removed from your present condition, which you do not like.

We suggest another approach. We think it would be better if you released your attachment to any specific outcome. This interaction will not fix your migraine problem. If you release enough resistance, your migraine will no longer be needed. However, that is not the purpose of this interaction. There is so much more to it.

Let's play with this idea a bit further. imagine that this interaction between you and us does not change a thing in your life. You go through the entire six-month period. You ask questions and we provide answers. You meditate daily and you refrain from making any big changes. You listen to our words and you do what we suggest. You attend each and every Joshua Live call, but in the end nothing changes. Everything still looks the same. The migraines are still there, the health issues are still a problem, and you still have not found your passion in life. However, there is one thing that has changed. There are wonderful questions and answers for everyone to read.

You see, this is not really just about you. Your questions spark our answers. Without your highly valuable questions we could not reach for ideas, words, and concepts that highlight the higher perspective. We need your questions. Without your questions we have little to offer. We cannot reach for these new thoughts and ideas on our own. That takes a kind of desire that is created out of contrast; your contrast.

Your problems can be seen as contrast from which you birth new desires. The desire to be well, to seek a higher perspective, and to find your passions, have led you to us. You have bravely come asking questions, expecting answers, and believing in the promise of those answers. Millions of people will read your words and alter the course of their own lives thanks to you. You do not realize what a gift this is. You cannot know how the ripple of your interaction with us will carry forth into the collective consciousness of a new generation of people. You are so powerful, you cannot even imagine it.

If this interaction causes you to shift your focus from what you perceive as wrong to a new and more empowering approach to life, and that leads to the easing of the migraines, then that is a wonderful side effect. If somehow you choose to think of yourself first, allow everyone else to go through whatever they are here to do, and practice feeling good, being happy, and experiencing joy, and you feel better as a result, then that too is terrific. If feeling good allows you to receive new ideas and thoughts, and you feel inspired to follow them, and this leads you to new interests and passions that you never knew existed, then that is also wonderful. But if none of this happens and nothing changes for you, and you are left searching for new answers, well just know that your questions will go on forever helping so many other people who could not find us and could not interact with us and did not have the courage or ability to ask the very same questions.

So while you are spending time with us, enjoy asking questions, look forward to reading the answers, ask some more questions, enjoy petting horses along the way, and trust that whatever happens will be for your highest good. You will look back on this question one day and smile.

You are love and you are loved.

We are Joshua and we are grateful for you.
