Steve Question #3

Dear Joshua,

Before I answer Joshua's last question -"why do you ask this question?" a little background first.

I consider myself a spiritual explorer and my brother had introduced me to a plant that the Mexican shaman's used to smoke to have "visions", so I felt it was right up my alley. (It's legal and can be bought in smoke shops - salvia divinorum) This was a couple years back and I've done it I'm guessing about 15 times now. The reason I have done it multiple times is because it is such a mind blowing experience, that you don't really take away a lot the first few times you do it, because it is so mind blowing, you need to get used to it. It feels to me like you take a rather quick step out of this physical realm and enter the non-physical and it lasts for about 5-10 minutes and then it's over. (And then it seems like a dream) You might call it another dimension. I say this because I cannot find words that describe it, yet it is as real as it can be. I'm still me, but I have a entirely different perspective and I always refer to myself in the third person like I'm not me, yet I am. Additionally, my mind is downloading information (or better still - awareness) at such an amazing rate it is difficult to share with others verbally what you are experiencing. The first few times I did it, it was too overwhelming. And scary. I consider myself fearless in the physical plane. In the non-physical, I'm a big pussy! (But I keep going back in) This other place feels like the Wild Wild West and anything can happen, which scares the crap out of me since I'm going in alone. (Or at least it feels that way). Just like going into a dark cave and you have no idea what's in there.

I always make sure I'm in a good mood and most of the time that I have a trusted friend close by to watch over me just in case. I do have to work consciously at not being fearful once there. So to make a long story short, every time I do Salvia, I am able to go a little farther down the road before getting overwhelmed. It literally feels like you are dead and you wonder if you will be able to get back. So to get back to answering Joshua's question - I wanted to validate that this place I go (where it's SUPER obvious that the world was created for me) and not just some elaborate hallucination. Having Joshua confirm that this is true helps me validate my experiences in this other realm. To continue along this line, I feel that everyone that is in my life is also there, but that they don't show themselves or blatantly talk to me because they know that I'm not quite ready for that just yet. That would probably freak me out a bit too much at this stage of the game. But I would really want that! Something that bothers me a bit about the salvia route to the non physical is that I don't feel the overwhelming feeling of love that I get through other avenues once there. That would make it a much safer feeling place...

So I think it's wonderful to have this whole new area to explore and I'm 99% positive I can do this without the salvia, but I've recently also realized that I kind of like having to do a certain set of steps to accomplish this. Since it is still a little scary for me, I like having a doorway that I have to consciously go through to have this happen and if I choose to not go through the doorway, I'm "safe" in my familiar physical world... When I first had my non-physical experience, it really shook me up and I was just a little afraid of the dark for a couple weeks. And I've definitely stopped watching horror movies involving the super natural!!! (Don't want that in my vibration)

Oh, I forgot to mention, this place I go to feels like I've been there 1000's of times, and feels way more real than the physical does (at least while I'm there). The biggest thing I have taken away from this experience is "knowing" on a visceral level how "fake" (I can't really come up with a good word here) the physical world is. And knowing that it's fake makes it easier for me to think I can manipulate it - almost like I'm a wizard.

So what does Joshua think/know about this. Is this a valuable exploration?

Thanks!
Steve

Dear Steve,

You are very advanced in your understanding of physical reality. You have experienced life on Earth many, many times before. You are a master in this plane of existence. Your desire is to explore the boundaries of this physical reality. You are seeking to know more and so you experiment with reality at its edges. Your nonphysical experiences are simply a result of your desire for more exploration. The Law of Attraction has made this possible for you.

What you are experiencing in theses trips is a quasi-physical reality. It is something like another dimension of another reality. It is not the same as the nonphysical reality in which you will inhabit after your transition or in the realm of your dreams. It is a creation that, like all reality, is unique to you.

All exploration and all experience is valid and valuable. If you are enjoying these trips, if you're having a good time, it it's interesting, then it's valuable. We would say that the most valuable aspect of these journeys is your ability to reduce the fear associated with it. You seem to be doing well in this regard. Now, can you reduce the fear in this earthly experience as well. You say that you are fearless in the physical reality, but that's not quite true. We see that this exploration, where you must reduce fear to continue, is a metaphor for your life. However, in your life, you've become comfortable and the fear is less obvious. But it's still there.

We are teachers of the mechanism of physical reality, the laws of the universe and other unseen forces and we prefer to talk to you about your life in this physical plane of existence. We would like to talk to you about how to navigate this reality so that you can become who you really are. While your attention to an altered state of reality is interesting and enjoyable, it is still an escape from this reality. You are so eager to understand more about this reality, you are exploring it from a unique perspective.

As you are able to download an enhanced awareness, what is that awareness telling you? What have you concluded about this reality? It seems that you can trace the paths to certain manifestations quite easily. You see that you were inspired to certain action and that action lead to a series of events which manifested in desired outcomes. So what do you now know?

You know that somehow you created the events and the outcomes, and you received guidance in doing so. When an action is inspired, the inspiration is guidance. Where does that guidance come from? Your inner self. What does the guidance feel like? It feels like excitement, interest, and a call to action. It feels like the obvious next step. Other people may be surprised with the action you are taking, but to you it could be no other way.

When you are called to act, in any situation, and the action feels good, then it is guidance from your inner self. When it feels right, then it is right. However, when the call to action comes from wanting something to be better, or different, then it is action to change the conditions. If you do something to feel better, it might be the momentum caused that naturally results from feeling bad and wanting to feel good. It is not guidance from within.

This is a leading-edge conversation for masters of physical reality. To be able to distinguish between guidance from within and from the momentum of feeling bad, is truly a masterful skill. But in order to properly navigate this reality, it is something all masters will need to learn.

The most important aspect of understanding the guidance that comes from your inner self is to be fully aware of your state of being. Your emotional state of being affects how you perceive guidance from within. Only when you are in a high emotional state of being such as elation, joy, love, passion, bliss, etc., will you be able to fully comprehend the message that is being sent from within. You must have a basis of vibration that can connect with the vibration of your inner self. That vibration is always high.

Now, whenever you are not in a high emotional state of being, the inspiration that you receive will not be coming from your inner self. You will still receive inspiration, but it comes from another source. It is the natural inspiration that leads you to a better feeling place. It is an aspect of the design of this physical plane of existence. It's part of the mechanism of physical reality.

Let's explain this further. If you touch a hot stove, you must remove your hand because the pain is too great to bear. This is a natural reaction to pain. You must stop the pain at all costs. This is a feature of the survival instinct and it is a component of this physical reality. When you are in a low emotional state of being, such as despair, you will be compelled to feel better. It is part of the system. However, you cannot go straight from despair to bliss. You must work your way up to the next better-feeling place.

The next, higher state of being might be revenge. The inspiration to act from this state of being might be to punch someone or to say something hurtful. You are inspired to act and the action, at least initially, will feel good. However, once you've moved up to a higher state of being such as contentment, your action will not feel like a good idea from this higher perspective. You will regret your action.

So, from the highest state of being which is love, your perspective on all action is at its broadest. From this level you can see that nothing is wrong and everything is right. All action which is inspired from this level is coming directly from your inner being. We would also say that you have become a blended being. You are one with your inner self.

As you look at anything you have done, you must be aware of your emotional state of being at the time. If you were happy and engaged from a good-feeling place, then the action taken from that place is meaningful, valuable and was inspired by your inner self for your benefit. If you were not feeling so good and you decided to do something to relieve this feeling, then that inspiration was coming as a result of a natural instinct to feel better. This is not inspiration from your inner self, even though it might feel similar.

We are not saying that it's right to take action when inspired by your inner self and wrong to take action to remove yourself from a bad-feeling place. We are simply saying that there is a difference between the two. When you take action as a result of inspiration from your inner self, and you know it's from your inner self because you are in a high emotional state of being, then that action is specifically designed to bring you to an important manifestation of something wanted.

Action stemming from a low emotional state of being also has value, but it does not carry the leverage of universal forces, and it might create something you deem unwanted when you look at it from the higher perspective.

So, whatever you decide to do, simply think about how you are feeling when you receive the inspiration. We will never tell you what to do or what not to do. We will only influence you to consider your state of being and then discover where the inspiration is coming from.

We understand that our answer did not address your question as you had intended, but this is the information you needed to receive at this exact moment in your life. Does this bring up another question?

Love,
Joshua
