Joshua,

My ex and I have been working together to reach an agreement on our own regarding parenting and financial settlements. This means that the divorce could be finalized on our own terms in the next month or two (which would be awesome). I've been listening for guidance from my inner self as I navigate the negotiations, and receiving it (I think).

I feel like I get the inner guidance, I act on it, and then once things start moving along in the direction I thought I wanted, I begin to experience fear, worry, and doubt. It's happened a few times where I thought I was aligned with my desires, but when they were actualized the relief was temporary (if it came at all). Does this indicate that the action I took was not actually inspired action? Am I forcing things without realizing it?

When I feel the negative emotions, I usually realize pretty instantly that they are low vibrational thoughts and feelings, so I start looking for the limiting belief(s). Usually it's related to the idea that he has some power to create in my reality, so I find evidence to prove that false, and the fear reduces in intensity. But the anxiety and worry keep coming back.

Does this mean that the belief that others have the power to create in my reality is an extremely strongly held belief? Or are there other beliefs that I am not currently aware of? I know there's something under the surface about trusting that I'll be taken care of...I want to feel clean and clear about my future (housing, career, childcare, etc) once the divorce is resolved, but the doubts keep creeping in.

I would love to get to a place where I am comfortable with letting go of the "how's". I'm tired of spinning the wheels in my brain trying to come up with the answers on my own. Can you help me build my ability to trust the Universe and allow it to take care of all of this for me?

Dear Kyla,

We would suggest to you that everything you are experiencing is rather normal and to be expected. You are just starting to practice listening for guidance, acting on inspiration, realizing that negative emotion is a signal alerting you to a limiting belief, and you are reducing the intensity of the fear. But the fear keeps popping back up in the form of worry and you start to doubt your ability. However, this is not the case.

The process of reducing the intensity of limiting beliefs is just that, a process. The strength of the belief will determine the duration of the process. Very strong limiting beliefs take continued and persistent work to peel away the layers of fear. Once one strong belief has been reduced enough, a fresh and new limiting belief will reveal itself to you. You are here to expand through experience and as you experience new things, you will encounter new negative emotions on all sorts of topics. This is a never-ending journey of expansion. You believe that negative emotion is painful and therefore something to be avoided. It is only painful at the beginning. As soon as you adopt a higher perspective, the pain goes away.

You came here for expansion. You did not come here to sit around not doing anything in an attempt to avoid negative emotion. You knew that negative emotion signaled growth and expansion. Expansion is good. Reducing the intensity of limiting beliefs is good. Reducing the intensity of fear is good. Moving through the fear is exhilarating. Manifesting your dreams is exciting. Doing all of this with joy is what you intended prior to your birth.

In the nonphysical, you will not experience negative emotion because your perspective is very high and broad. You can see all. In the nonphysical, you cannot die and so you know you are taken care of. The belief that you can die in the physical realm causes you to worry about being taken care of. You cannot die. You are eternal. It doesn't matter whether you're here or there, you are cared for by Source. Don't rely on human beings to care for you, rely on Source. Source will organize the humans for you through inspiration and the manifestation of aligned desires.

You will not be guided away from what you want. Your guidance is always toward that which you desire. You will feel inspiration to act, and however subtle it may be, the action you choose is always right. You cannot make a mistake. It simply is not possible.

When your action leads you into a manifestation event which causes fear and negative emotion, well that's exactly what was supposed to happen. You cannot get what you want until you become a vibrational match to it. These manifestation events help you to understand your fears and work to reduce their intensity. As you do this, your vibration raises and you move closer to the vibrational vicinity of what you want.

So, from our perspective, everything is working just as it should. We have no doubt and neither should you.

When you place your hand on a hot stove and feel pain, what do you do? Do you linger on the stove or do you quickly remove your hand from it? When you feel emotional pain do you keep your thoughts lingering on the subject or would it be wiser to remove your thoughts from that and choose a perspective that brings relief? It's exactly the same thing. If you keep your hand on the stove, eventually you will burn it and cause a scar. If you keep your limited perspective on the subject, it's just like holding your hand on the stove.
