Emma Question #75

Hi Joshua,

I finally took some more action towards my goal of moving to the city, by having some property managers come look through my place and tell me how much they think I could rent it out for. Now that I've done this, it feels more real and I have more fear coming up.

I look at houses in the city and worry about finding one I like, about finding housemates, etc. and it just all seems so hard. I know all of this is irrational and I haven't really stopped yet to work out all the fears as I've been busy. I guess I just need to push through them and take the next step because this is something I have been wanting to do for a fair while now!

Dear Emma,

You receive an inspiration to move. Let's imagine that the idea of moving to the city is exciting and you think it will be fun to live in a new place, meet new people, explore a new city, and live an expanded and adventurous life. You are not focused on moving away from something you don't like, but rather moving toward something good, new, fresh, and interesting. This is a very empowering way to look at it.

You imagine that there will be fun times and you will meet interesting people. You will create new relationships and opportunities. The new possibilities for more are exciting to you. That is a very empowering way to look at it.

Here's where the fear comes in: you are looking too many steps ahead. Forget about what you imagine all of this will entail. Forget about the new place, the new people, and all of that. Have faith that it will all come together just as it always does. Have faith that you will be receiving exactly what you need, when you need it. Have complete trust that you can do whatever you need to do, because you will be inspired to take the next step and the exact right time. You have set things in motion and now all you have to do is take the step that's obviously right in front of you. Step one: have rental managers assess you place to see how much someone will pay for rent. Step two: there is no step two, there's only another step one. Step three: you guessed it! There is no step three, just another step one.

The rental managers will give you their estimate of the rental amount. With this information in hand, you will be presented with another step. Maybe that step is to find out what you can get in the city for that amount. There are no other steps. Simply do that next step without thinking ahead. Eliminate your habit of going too far off into the future. You cannot know how it will all unfold. All you can know for certain is that it will all unfold perfectly for you and you can go towards it with resistance and fear or not. So let's reduce the fear by not thinking too many steps into the future.

After you have determined what the rental amount will be for your place, you can take the next step of investigating places in the city. Do you know the city? Do you need to get a better idea of where you'd like to live? Maybe the next step is a weekend trip to the city. Do you go by yourself or with a friend? What feels best? Always ask yourself what feels best, rather than thinking about the fears that may come up. It might feel best to go by yourself, but you might have a fear of this and then out of fear you ask a friend and her vibration might just muddy your ability to explore on your own. Or it might feel best to bring a friend and together you reach a state of high emotions and you are led to the perfect area. You see, it's all about what feels best, what feels exciting, and what seems most interesting in the moment. You can't get it wrong, but you can make it fun and easy. Just take the next step and never think past that. This will reduce your fears and allow you to make progress toward that which you want to manifest into your reality.

With our love,
We are Joshua
