Arnaud Question #44

Dear Joshua,

I've been around the block a few times with you on the subject of abundance. Last night, I took the decision that I didn't want to "explore" this theme anymore. In my head, this meant that I was going to create a reality where I know and expect abundance to flow and always be there, and never give it a second thought. What this decision entails is what I would like to dig into a little further with you, based on what I have learned.

I grew up in a comfortable household so certainly never felt poor, or never experienced any lack. My dad was a plumber and my mum a primary school teacher (now both retired). They are not wealthy but they have a nice home, with quite a big piece of land, and live happily. As with most of these comfortable, but modest backgrounds, I have acquired a lot of limited beliefs about money and wealth. In my adult life, I have developed desires that rub against those limiting beliefs. And, as I have come to realise, I have a tendency to look at what I haven't got, compare myself to others, and resist what is. Last weekend, I was at a friend's house in the outskirts of London. It is a huge house, absolutely immaculate, and considering its position near the capital and the price of real estate in the area, it must be worth quite a hefty price tag. Compared to the smallish, cluttered flat I rent in the outskirts of Leeds, I can ask myself the question: "why can't I afford this?" Of course, you have given me the answer before, that what I truly want is to achieve the feeling of worthiness that is a match to this house. I do feel amazing when I am in a beautiful house. I love architecture, I love interior design, and I love how all combined can make me reach peaks of bliss when I focus on them. Rather than comparing myself negatively in the case of this house, I paid attention to how it made me feel being in it, how I would feel living in a house like this, and I told myself "I create my own reality, and I am worthy of getting a house like this", which felt good.

I understand that relatively speaking I am abundant. I conceptually accept that I am cared for and that abundance is flowing to me as and when I need it (but do I really believe it? Or KNOW it? I'm not so sure). For instance, I would like to go to the land cruise in Las Vegas in April, but right now I have to plan and be thrifty with money in order to even hope of getting there. My overdraft facility is getting a bit out of hand again, and I am not sure where money is going to come from. I tell myself that money will flow as and when it is need to fulfill my desire. I want to allow the pennies… Deep down, I know that I would like to be in a position where, when an opportunity like the land cruise comes up, I want to be able to book it, without batting an eyelid. Worse, still, for my vibration, I think I feel like I "should" be able to do this.

So, this decision to be finished with exploring abundance, is really an affirmation that I am creating my reality, and a release of the attachment that I have to control how money comes to me, and allowing it to come. Easier said than done, I think, but do I make things more complicated that they are? What is the simple attitude to have in this case?

With all my love and gratitude,
Arnaud

Dear Arnaud,

Yes, everyone wants a nice house, a nice car, nice clothes and nice things. Everyone wants the things they perceive are out of reach. But if they really, really, really wanted those things, then they would find a way to manifest them. You have everything you really, really, really want. If you do not have it, then you really don't want it. If you do not have it, then you certainly don't need it. Do you see how want and need are related? Those people who have the things that you want do not see themselves as wanting it. They believe they need it. They believe they must have it to be the person they believe themselves to be. Do you see it now? You do not need a big and expensive house because it is not needed for you to be defined as you are now. What you have now, perfectly matches who you think you are now. Of course we are not saying that you should feel the need to have whatever you do not have. What you have is a perfect match to you. We are simply explaining another level in the manifestation process. If you want it, then the desire is not that strong and fear will stop you every time. However, if you need it, then you will do whatever it takes to overcome the fear and take the action you are inspired to take.

In this reality you can literally be, do, and have everything you want. Abundance is receiving what you need when you need it. You are abundant. You have everything you need. If you want something more, turn it into a need and it will be a whole lot easier to manifest it into your reality.

Imagine a person who really wants to be seen as an achiever. He will do whatever it takes to stand out in the crowd. He will work harder than anyone. He will take risks. He will cut corners. He will skirt the edge of what is acceptable. He will appear confident and brash. He will be noticed. He will see a fancy house, car, clothes, etc. as needs, not wants. In order to be who he needs to be to stand out, he will need all those things rather than simply want them.

"It would be nice to live there, but what about the taxes? It would be nice to have that car, but where would I park it? The insurance must be ridiculous! It would be nice to dress like that, but I would feel so pretentious. That's not really who I am. I like the simple things in life."

Do you see what we are talking about here? If you need something to be who you want to be, it will come because you will be inspired and you will push past the fear and do what you are inspired to do. Now, before we go any further, the person mentioned above has a need to be seen as worthy. He is simply trying to manipulate the conditions in order to be perceived as worthy. However, it will never, ever make him feel worthy. A better approach would be to feel worthy of everything first and then choose your needs from that higher perspective.

In order to become the authentic version of you, in order to understand more about the laws of the universe, in order to raise your vibration and your opinion of who you are, do you want to participate in this One on One program or do you need to? In order to experience true abundance, true power, true authenticity, and true love, do you want to attend the land cruise or do you need to? Think about who you truly are and then think about what you need to do, be, and have to become the authentic version of Arnaud and explore reality as you intended.

With our love,
We are Joshua
