You spoke about enlightenment on our call yesterday. Can you re-tell me, please. We are all on a journey or path "to enlightenment". I asked about 'recognition' vs 'change' and I think I get it - I'd love to hear it again.

Dear Allyson,
You are all on a path from fear to love. It is not a path of change, but a journey or selfdiscovery. You come to physical reality intending to put yourself in situations and adopt limiting beliefs about yourself so you can come out of that deception to the realization of who you really are. You always succeed in this, because with each new incarnation, you come to discover something new about yourself. You realize more about who you really are as you age and expand through the experience of life. When you transition to the nonphysical, you will really understand it. You will be enlightened. You will realize it. You will come to know more and more and more of who you really are. You might not fully realize it while you are living this physical life, but you will glimpse it from time to time. Those glimpses will turn into the full realization of who you really are when you make your transition.
You could come to know who you really are now, while living this life. That would be exciting and exhilarating, but you will always be looking at yourself from a limited perspective, because you will always feel fear. You feel fear because you do not have all the information. Fear is simply part of physical reality and it causes you to choose limited perspectives from time to time. When you transition to the nonphysical, fear will not be present and from a pure state of love, you will see the magnificence that is really you and the illusion will be released. As long as you are feeling fear in physical reality, the illusion will exist to some degree. The more fear you feel and the more intensely you feel it, the more real the illusion will seem.
Do you understand that the main illusion in physical reality is that you are separate from Source? The illusion is that you are not as magnificent as God, that you are not as worthy as God, that you are separate from God, and that you, yourself are not God. That is the illusion you choose to be born into. Some of you choose to believe the illusion with fervent intensity and some hardly see it at all. It all depends on the type of enlightenment you are seeking. You will all receive enlightenment when you transition and that is fine with you, but if you could see past the illusion now, you would be able to create a more desirable life now, in this moment.
You did not intend to be fooled by the illusion. In fact, you fully intended to see through the illusion. You intended to have fun and experience joy while expanding through experience in the discovery of who you really are. If you are not feeling joy, you are simply resisting the path you are taking. If you are feeling joy, you are allowing the discovery to take place as it will. You realize that every event comes to you in order for you to see yourself from another vantage point. If you are here to discover who you are, then every time you see yourself from a new perspective, you are doing what you intended to do. Why resist that? It is exactly what you wanted all along.
