Allyson Question #59

Dear Joshua,

I have had less than good hearing for many years. I can "hear" but I more often than not can't understand what is being said - and it's frustrating and embarrassing. It causes issues with many friends, meetings or big groups.

I got to thinking ... is there some blessing in disguise? Can I not hear/understand because it's stuff I don't want to hear or don't need to hear? Or is it something that I need to look at to discover some fear and resistance? I have not been able to pick up on anything ... and it's been with me for so long I have no idea what I might try to find. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated (and hopefully heard and understood).

Thank you,
Allyson

Part 2:

I had an interesting experience since asking this question ... although I still would like an answer. I went on Julie Ryan's show on Thursday - I was first up on the call list and asked her about my hearing. She immediately saw a growth within my right ear. She did her laser thing - and we are hoping that worked a bit (although I will still get it checked out). I was watching TV last night and I usually can't understand a word. I actually caught myself smiling and appreciating that I could hear and understand most of what was being said. I felt like I really did have a healing.

And that's just a comment.

Dear Allyson,

This is an excellent question and we are excited to share our perspective. From your limited perspective, it is not always so easy to understand how something is for you, especially when you perceive that you have a problem or some disability that appears to put you at a disadvantage compared to others. You have many physical and nonphysical senses and they aid you in the exploration and navigation of your reality. We want you to understand that no one on earth has the same set of senses. Everyone is unique. While it may appear to you that your hearing is less than others, you have other senses that are more than others. You have a unique set of perceptive abilities (which are the cumulation of all of your physical and nonphysical senses). By believing that you are inadequate in one area and you wish it was improved or different in any way, you are simply looking at one tiny aspect of the entirety of your overall ability to navigate your reality. We assure you that you would not trade improved hearing just for the sake of that one sense if you understood how that aspect works within the whole of your unique set of sensory abilities.

Think of the whole. Think of the all that you are. Think about how your hearing interacts with your other senses, both physical and nonphysical. It is a wonder to behold. You chose your body and the unique make-up of your sensory abilities because you knew that it would assist you in exploring reality in a very unique way. The exact overall partnership of your senses working together is what you chose. If your hearing is working, it means that this is a necessary function for you to navigate your reality as you intended. If it is not functioning, it's because within the overall set of senses, it is not needed or desired. Do you see what we mean here? If your hearing was spectacular, but your eyesight was poor, it could only happen this way if it allowed you to explore reality as you had intended. However, if your hearing is poor and your eyesight is good, this can only happen if this combination allowed you to explore reality as you intended. If it exists in your reality, then it is for you, every single time.

So what if you require good hearing to explore reality as you intended, yet your hearing is limiting you from doing that? Then you would be guided (inspired) to take action to improve your hearing. You might be inspired to call Julie Ryan, or to see a doctor. The doctor you choose will also be inspired. However, you are unlikely to receive the inspiration if you see your hearing as a problem. Now do you get what we are saying? You you need to hear, you will hear. If you can't hear well, then either you are not meant to hear well or you will be guided to some action that will improve your hearing. It's only when you see the issue as bad, wrong, or a problem that limits your ability to make it work for you. If you are meant to experience something because it is for your highest good and it's what you intended prior to your birth, then let it come and embrace it and feel good about it and try to imagine how it is for you. By doing this, you remain in alignment and maintain your access to inspiration. By feeling bad about something, you restrict your access to the inspiration that you truly want to receive.

This is the new approach to life. If something comes your way, roll with it and allow it and look into it and see how it is for you. If it comes to you, whatever it is, it is for you. Your only job is to feel good about it, understand it, and figure out how it might be for you. By doing that, you stay aligned. By feeling bad about it, you knock yourself out of alignment. The new approach to life is all about maintaining your connection to Source energy. Without that connection, you are going it alone and you relinquish your power.

That is not the approach to life you intended to adopt prior to your birth.

With our love,
We are Joshua
