Allyson Question #17

Dear Joshua,

Less of a question and more of a report card!!

I've am attending a college reunion - almost 40 years - and what a great time to practice my confidence and authenticity and go-with-the-flow allowing!

Being my old thought of authentic - as in - the same Allyson, one with her camera in one hand and a glass of wine in the other - is comfortable yet I am well aware that it's not the 'real Allyson'. Here's the good news tho - I am different, yet the same. I'm loved, without effort. I am comfortable coming and going. I don't feel the urgency to please everyone I see. It's actually really fun to push myself to represent the new me. I feel different in many ways.

When I arrived, I was nervous that I would be the pleaser Allyson - but I'm pleasantly surprised that I am flowing easily. And I'm so appreciative of that. It feels good. Last night I kept checking in with myself, "am I feeling any fear? Nope. All good." And that's so much nicer and thus I know I will enjoy this weekend so much more. In the first hours, I was really concerned with my appearance. I could feel the old lack of confidence creeping in but I found I could sincerely let it go and appreciate that I am beautiful and loving and all the qualities that make up me are what people love - not my weight! Yay. It may be in the back of my mind, but it's so much less intense.

Above was written days ago, during a busy time, and I found this question in my draft folder. I asked Gary about sending it - and he suggested that since I found it - I should send along. As I stated, not a question, an update.

Thank you!
Allyson

Dear Allyson,

From the perspective of who you really are (a limitless being of pure positive love and acceptance), you can see that nothing matters other than loving and accepting yourself as you are, loving and accepting all the people you come in contact with as they are, and loving and accepting all the conditions that exist as they are. If you can do that, then you can always go with the flow of the moment doing what you're inspired to do. When you are aware of how you are being, you can notice inspiration and move in that direction. When you notice fear, you can process the fear so that it does not limit you from moving in the direction you're inspired to go.

This life could be so easy for everyone if you could simply relax and go with the flow of life by following inspiration as you receive it in the moment. We understand that fear pops up and the fear seems real, but the vast majority of it is irrational. It doesn't matter how people perceive you. You can't know what they are perceiving, because everyone sees things differently based on their unique vibration that has been created over the course of their life. You can't know what another is seeing when they look at an apple, let alone what they are seeing when they look at you. When you let go of how you believe you are being perceived, you can release all the fear that is associated with that. More importantly, when you can let go of your judgment of others, then the whole thing becomes so easy.

This example of your reunion is a perfect one and we appreciate that you have shared it with us. You were inspired to go to the reunion. That is a message for you and you can know that if the idea is interesting, exciting, or seems like fun, then it is for your highest good and you can move forward despite your fears. Your fears will always pop up, no matter what you are inspired to do. If you can reduce their intensity by taking yourself through them and processing them to reveal the irrationality of them, then you can move forward and take the action. If you allow irrational fear to prevent you from doing something you're inspired to do, then you simply add another limitation on your experience of life. Those who process irrational fear live a limitless experience of life. Those who succumb to their fears live inside a shell and resist the actions that will lead to everything they desire.

A resistant life is one where the person succumbs to irrational fear. An authentic life is one where the person process their fears to reduce the intensity of those fears. They move through fear simply following the guidance given through inspiration. If you feel inspiration (interest, desire, fun, excitement, etc.), you can know that the action will lead to something that will be for your benefit and highest good.

With our love,
We are Joshua
